Roasting (Oven-Baked): (easy & convenient)

  • Preheat your oven to 190°C (fan-forced) or 200°C (conventional).
  • Season the chicken crown with salt, pepper, and your favourite herbs or spices.
  • Place the crown on a roasting tray, skin-side up.
  • Roast for 45-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C at the thickest part of the breast.
  • Allow the chicken to rest for about 10 minutes before carving.

Grilling: (for a smokey flavour and charred exterior)

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Season the chicken crown as desired.
  • Grill the chicken crown over indirect heat, turning occasionally.
  • Grill for 45-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C at the thickest part of the breast.
  • Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Pan-Searing and Oven-Finishing: (for a perfect balance of crispy skin and juicy meat)

  • Preheat your oven to 190°C (fan-forced) or 200°C (conventional).
  • Heat a large oven-safe pan over medium heat with a bit of oil.
  • Sear the chicken crown skin-side down for 3-4 minutes until the skin is golden brown.
  • Flip the chicken crown, then transfer the pan to the preheated oven.
  • Continue roasting in the oven for 40-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C.
  • Rest the chicken for 10 minutes before carving.
