Cooking Guide

Slow Cooker:

  1. Prepare: Season the blade roast with salt, pepper, and your favourite spices or marinade.
  2. Sear: Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and sear the blade roast on all sides until browned.
  3. Cook: Transfer the seared blade roast to a slow cooker. Add aromatics like onions, garlic, carrots, celery, and your choice of broth or wine.
  4. Slow Cook: Set the slow cooker to low and cook for 8-10 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily falls apart.
  5. Serve: Serve hot with mashed potatoes, polenta, or over pasta.

Oven Roasting:

  1. Preheat: Preheat the oven to 160°C.
  2. Prepare: Season the blade roast with salt, pepper, and your favourite spices or marinade.
  3. Sear: Heat oil in an oven-safe pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat and sear the blade roast on all sides until browned.
  4. Roast: Add aromatics like onions, garlic, carrots, celery, and your choice of broth or wine to the pot. Cover with a lid or foil.
  5. Bake: Transfer the pot to the oven and bake for 3-4 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily falls apart.
  6. Serve: Serve hot with mashed potatoes, polenta, or over pasta.
