Description

Raised exclusively on pastures, rich in Omega 3, and free from pollutants, our premium grass fed sirloin is a delicious steak from the animal’s hindquarter, where the tenderloin and top loin meet. A tasty all-rounder, grass fed sirloin is lean, tender, flavoursome, and juicy!

Sirloin trivia: Known as Sirloin in the UK, the cut is also known as Strip or Porterhouse in the US, and here in Australia, some people interchange Sirloin and Porterhouse.

Cooking Guide

Preparation: Take the steaks out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking.

Seasoning: Season generously with salt, pepper, and your favourite herbs.

Pan-Searing:

  • Heat a heavy skillet over high heat until smoking hot.
  • Add a tablespoon of oil with a high smoke point.
  • Sear steaks for 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare.

Oven-Finishing (optional):

  • Preheat oven to 180°C.
  • After searing, transfer the skillet to the oven.
  • Roast for 5-7 minutes until desired doneness.

Resting: Let steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Internal Temperatures:

  • Rare: 45–50ÂşC
  • Medium-Rare: 50–55ÂşC
  • Medium: 60–65ÂşC
  • Well-Done: 70–75ÂşC
